Late Update: Al Saunders Hired as Rams Offensive Coordinator

Pretty good hire by the Rams. Anybody who can take the players the Rams have on offense and turn in what happened last season deserves to get fired. Injuries included. The team has everything they need to be successful: A franchise LT (Orlando Pace), a franchise RB (Steven Jackson), a franchise QB (Marc Bulger), a franchise WR (Torry Holt), excellent #2 and #3 WRs (Isaac Bruce, Drew Bennett). Why this team has failed to get to the playoffs, especially last year, is beyond me. Part of it has to do with the youth of Steven Jackson, but I think he needs to have a big season next year or there will be problems. If they don't make the playoffs this year, Linehan should be fired.

Oh. The Pro Bowl was yesterday. I watched some of it. My viewing was interrupted pretty frequently by the birthday demands of a very sick girl, who shares my demon virus. Final Score: 42 NFC, 30 AFC. The AFC had an early lead, so it was pretty tight. Try not to read too much into this though, because the preparation the players put in is pretty minimal. That, combined with the almost impossibility of sacks (because intentional grounding is allowed and encouraged)  makes the game kind of boring.

Another side note on the Jim Zorn hiring: Andy Reid was a QB coach in Green Bay before being given the job of Head Coach in Philadelphia. Not supporting the decision, just mentioning it.
